Operation: MEDS

Medical students Exploring Different Specialties
IU School of Medicine
February 21, 2013 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. IUPUI Campus Center Room 450

Operation: MEDS (Medical students Exploring Different Specialties), sponsored by the IU School of Medicine Alumni Association, is a speed networking/mentoring event for IU School of Medicine students and alumni. In its fifth year, Operation: MEDS is designed to help students who are unsure of which area of medicine they’d like to practice gain a better understanding about their areas of interest.

Students who attend Operation: MEDS will be able to pick four specialties that they are interested in learning more about over the course of the evening. Each student will spend 15-20 minutes with each specialty before rotating to the next table and specialty of interest. Each specialty will be represented by community based IUSM alumni who have agreed to share their knowledge with students throughout the evening.  The evening provides the opportunity to share the realities of practicing medicine with students who rotate through to the various specialties. Appetizers and a cash bar will also be available at the event. Registration can be found at the "Student Registration Form" link below.

If you are interested in participating in Operation: MEDS, complete either the Student Registration Form or Alumni Interest Form. If you have additional questions, contact Nolan Ryan at 317-274-6588 or by e-mail at iusmalum@iupui.edu.
